What is Typeciao?
Typeciao is a keyboard that teaches you the language you’re typing. You install it once, then use it in any app — WhatsApp, Telegram, Gmail. As you write, it corrects you in real time and translates what you send into the language your reader speaks.
How do I get started?
Install the app, then turn the Typeciao keyboard on in your device’s keyboard settings — the app walks you through it and detects the keyboard automatically. After that, open any messenger and start writing in the language you’re learning.
How does translation work?
By default you type in the language you’re learning, and Typeciao translates what you write into the language the person you’re writing to reads. If a word won’t come to you, tap the language key next to the space bar to switch to your native language — Typeciao still translates it for your reader. Behind the scenes, your text is processed by Google’s Gemini API to generate the translation and corrections.
How do I turn learning mode off?
Flip the switch on the left of the keyboard. With learning mode off, Typeciao is a standard keyboard: what you type goes straight into the app and nothing leaves your device. Flip it back on when you want to practise again.
How do I change my languages?
Open Settings in the app to update your native language, the language you’re learning, and the languages the keyboard types in, at any time.
How do I delete my account?
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@typeciao.com (or using in-app account deletion where available). See our Privacy Policy for details on what we store.
Is my data private?
In learning mode, your text is sent through our servers to be translated and corrected, then comes straight back — without your name, your account, or anything else that identifies you. We never save or log what you write, and in standard mode nothing leaves your device at all. We don’t sell your data or show ads. Read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
