What is Typeciao?
Typeciao helps you learn a language by chatting with someone you actually want to talk to, every day. You message back and forth in your own languages, and the app translates between them and offers gentle hints — so the conversation never slows down.
How do I start a chat with someone?
Share your personal invite link with the person you want to talk to. When they open it and install the app, you’ll be connected and can start messaging right away.
How does translation work?
Just type in whichever language feels natural — Typeciao detects the language automatically and shows your partner the message in theirs. Translation is invisible by default, with hints available for the language you’re learning. Behind the scenes, message text is processed by Google’s Gemini API to generate the translation and hints.
I’m not getting notifications.
Make sure notifications are enabled for Typeciao in your device’s system settings, and that your device is connected to the internet. If they still don’t arrive, try fully closing and reopening the app, then email us and we’ll help.
How do I change my languages or profile?
Open Settings in the app to update your display name, avatar, native language, and the language you’re learning at any time.
How do I delete my account?
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@typeciao.com (or using in-app account deletion where available). See our Privacy Policy for details on what we store.
Is my data private?
Your messages are shared only with the person you’re chatting with, and we don’t sell your data or show ads. Read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
